We bought this pool for Moanna’s birthday. Sadly, it took us over a month to find time to inflate it and fill it up for her. In our defense, the beginning of summer was very rainy. It seemed like every day we had off together, it rained.
Moanna was so excited when we finally let her jump in. The fact that the pool was water-hose-cold did not bother her one bit. She would go down the slide, splash around, hop out, prance around to the slide, and do it all over again. She continued this routine until she turned blue and we made her come inside to dry off.
I love that this picture captures her happiness and free spirit. If I could get inside her mind, I would ask her how she manages to fully live in the moment. The fact that nap time was quickly approaching meant nothing to her on this afternoon. All that mattered to her was that she was swimming in her very own pool, and Mommy and Daddy there to watch.
