30 Days

Costa Rica Day 6 017

For the next 30 days can you commit to eliminating caffeine from your life? Can you take some time out of each day for the next 30 days to learn a new skill like juggling or knitting? Every day, for the next 30 days can you read one chapter from your scriptures? What can you do to enhance your life for the next 30 days?

I came across this video on a blog I was browsing the other day. It pulled on my motivation, follow through and commitment strings. I thought you might find it inspirational as well. It’s short, sweet and to the point.

Now the question is what am I going to commit to for the next 30 days? I can’t decide. What am I going to do to make my life a better world to live in for the next 30 days? Am I going to work on writing my book? Should I cook something new everyday for the next 30 days? Should I commit to putting on lotion every single day for the next 30 days? Maybe I could give up TV for the next 30 days? I’m not sure yet what I’m going to do for my first 30 day challenge. It should probably be something that I really need to make a habit in my life so that when Deuce arrives it’s already second nature to me. I’m going to spend the day thinking, contemplating and praying about how I’m going to spend the next 30 days. When I decide on what challenge I’m willing to accept, I will report back.

If you were to do a 30 day challenge, what would it be?

I’ve been doing this lately – every 1st day of the month – or at the new moon – which ever is working better into my schedule, I set a goal for the next round – In July it’s working on health and there are a number of things that I’m hoping by the end of the month I have as a habit. I’ve done the no soda thing and have kept that one going – no soda’s since Dec 31st. – done the no alcohol as well – I’m thinking the next round may be back to the gym, learning gaelic, or writing

That’s awesome! I have a friend who has given up meat, gluten and I think sugar for 30 day periods to see what the impacts of going without them have on her overall well being… I’m so not prepared for that kind of commitment. I think your next 30 days should be a reward to yourself… like spending half an hour a day doing your favorite hobby or something.

Renee…for the next 30 days you are growing a baby. You are already being very productive. How about for the next 30 days you rest! You are going to have two children not too long after that. You might regret not taking these upcoming days to relax as much as you can.

Doubling my parental responsibility in the next month plus has been on my mind and part of my thought process in considering what 30 day challenge I’m going to take. I still haven’t decided what exactly I’m going to do, but it’s going to be an “easy” challenge… something that I can do sitting on the couch or something that is fun and spoiling for me since I know I won’t have much of that for awhile once Deuce arrives

That’s a good 30 day challenge. Sticking to daily vitamins and supplements is such a hard habit to form
