UGH

May Vaca Day 3 331

It’s been one of those days. Correction. It’s been one of those weeks.

I’m usually not one to encourage the weekend’s arrival. I try not to wish my life away waiting on the weekend to come. Really, when you stay at home with the monkeys and your husband doesn’t work a Monday through Friday gig, weekends aren’t that much different than a week day.

How-ev-er. I can’t wait for this week to be over. It’s not been a fun one folks. Why? It’s just been a blah and frustrating week for me. Lots of little things are driving me insane and bringing me down. Nothing in particular; it’s just one of of those weeks. And I’m not necessarily looking forward to the weekend. I am asking Monday to come quickly. I am ready for a fresh week and a new start, a change of pace for a bit.

Moanna starts a week of day camp on Monday, and she is extremely excited. I can tell she is very over Mommy time and is ready for some freedom. I would be sick of me too if I were her. Unfortunately I can’t go to day camp to get away from myself. While she is doing what it is that she does at day camp, I  will be spending the time encouraging myself out of my funk and getting caught up on chores, projects and errands. My hope is that when Moanna’s week of day camp is over I will be a refreshed soul with new energy and a lighter spirit.

If anyone has ideas for over coming a lingering funk, please pass them on. Just don’t tell me to take a long relaxing bath because my bathtub isn’t deep enough to cover my belly and it really makes me crazy.

About the bath… I really like filling up the bath halfway… and then letting the shower run over my front. It’s like sitting naked in a warm rain. :) Or something like that.
I would just start with a really small project. And a short list. Then I can feel like I accomplished something without overstepping my energy limits. Good luck with your funk.

I used to do that when I was little!

Hm…I really hope this was written BEFORE our play date. :)

Very much BEFORE our date! Getting out of the house helped a lot with my funk
