Atlanta Temple Open House Reminder
It’s such an exciting time here in Atlanta in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. The Atlanta Temple will be rededicated on May 1, 2011 and reopened for ordinance work on May 3, 2011. Before then, the general public is invited to an open house from April 9-23, 2011!
When we were planning our move to Georgia, we were thrilled to learn that there was a temple right in Atlanta. Soon after we learned of the temple, we learned that it was closed for renovations. However, we knew that within less than a year of our move, it would be reopened. That time has finally arrived, and we are so excited.
We are thrilled that prior to the temple’s rededication, there will be an open house that we can take our friends and family to. As recent converts to the Church, most of our friends and family are not part of the Church. They are naturally curious about our new found faith. Most of their questions are centered around the mysterious temples we love so much, but speak next to nothing about. Finally, we have next to a once in a lifetime opportunity to bring our curious loved ones to the temple open house where they can come inside, look around, ask questions and gain a better understanding of our beloved Church!
If you live in the Atlanta area, or happen to find yourself in Atlanta from April 9-23, 2011, I strongly, deeply, passionately encourage you to visit the temple. It will be an experience you will never forget. Tours of the temple are free. Follow this here link (Info and Reservations) to learn more about the Atlanta, Georgia Temple and to make reservations.
