Hello December
In case you forgot to change your calendar, it’s December and it’s COLD. This cold weather is following a crazy storm that came through the area yesterday dumping a ton of rain and dropping a tornado in the county next door. Perhaps that’s why all the birds were setting up camp in my back yard yesterday morning? Who knows?
Anyhow, December is here and Christmas and 2011 are quickly approaching. I’m feeling the pressure. I am so not ready. I have done very little to prepare for Christmas, and Steve and I have a long list of things to get done before the New Year to put us inline for having a great 2011. I have faith. We will get a lot of it done. I won’t go as far as to say that all of it will get done because let’s be realistic. We do have to sleep and eat at some point.
Does the first of December make you feel this way too? Do you look at December first and think “Oh crap! I am so not ready. Where did this year go?” Because that is how I feel today. Don’t get me wrong, I am very excited about the Holidays and what 2011 is going to bring. I just need the next 25 days to be very productive so that I don’t feel like I’m starting 2011 in debt to my to-do list.

YES! In fact that is exactly what I tweeted this morning “I can’t believe it’s Dec. I”M NOT READY!”
Today I am determined to hammer out the rest of my Christmas shopping and get my wrapping done so that I can mark SOMETHING off my list.
Lake effect snow machine has kicked in and it came down heavy enough last night I heard the sound of a snow shovel outside my window this morning. The first snow is always lovely. The next 5 months of it…not so much!
I’m with ya. The charm of the first snow wears off quick!
