Gratitude 11.04.2010
Today I am grateful for my kitchen. It is a poorly designed kitchen and I fight with my kitchen often, but the kitchen is my favorite room in the house. It’s typically warmer than the rest of the house which I have become really thankful for since it’s gotten chilly here. I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking, eating, cleaning and writing. I create a lot of things in the kitchen from food to works of at and a lot of messes. When I am in the kitchen I can express myself more openly. The kitchen is my safe place, and for that I am truly grateful.

I just wrote a little message about gratitude, you know, Thanksgiving for a newsletter. It is overlooked as we cruise into the holidays. What would our communities be like this holiday season if we embraced the real meaning of Thanksgiving and carried it through Christmas and all the way into the New Year?
