Pardon the Interruption
Aloha! To say that things are crazy would be a radical understatement. I’m trying to remember a time in my life that I have gone through this much transition in such a short period of time, and I’m drawing a complete blank here folks. My entire world is in the process of being flipped up-side-down and violently shaken like someone trying to get the last quarter out of their piggy bank only to find that it was just a nickel. Don’t get me wrong, 95% of what is changing is good, but I’m getting a little motion sickness from it all happening at once.
Over the next two weeks, posting will be sporadic. I will be trying to find my sea legs in this ocean of transition. When I find the shore and life reaches dry land, I will tell you all about the pirates and hidden treasure.
For now, as I pop another Dramamine, I will leave you with this…

Most of the time life just plods along at a usual and slightly boring pace. But sometimes we get a roller coaster ride. Or to continue your analogy…Usually the sea is calm and we sail along in a general rocking motion. But sometimes a storm comes up and we batten down the hatches and ride out the waves. But the wind drives us to a “promised land” (Ether6:5, or 4-12) when we trust the captain and stay in (or get in) the boat.
Enjoy the ride! It won’t last forever and then you will be back to smooth sailing and a usual and slightly boring pace.
At this point, I gladly welcome the boring pace!
Hang in there! It’s a bumpy ride, but I’m sure the destination will be worth it.
Thanks! I’m holding tight.
Oh…that photo of the moon on the water reminds me of when I lived on the western shore of Lake Erie. When the full moon rose and there was an onshore breeze it looked like billions of sparkling diamonds floating and bobbing on the black water. Wishing you the best of adventures with your move!
One day I will live on the water…
i am weirdo and think moving, to a new place, is fun! I love all the emotions that go with it. I may be addicted, in fact
Huby had to make me stay put here to really experience it. Where are you moving to? Remember to breathe….
We just moved to the Atlanta, GA area two days ago! I enjoy the cleansing and adventurous aspects of moving. However, I never expected to sleep on an air mattress and eat on the floor for nearly a week AND go without hot water and the ability to cook for over a week… Major Adventure
